Perfect Table Plan - create a table seating plan for your wedding or event

PerfectTablePlan v3.1.3

This release adds bug fixes to v3.1.1. You will require a version 3 licence key to unlock the full functionality.

We recommend that you back-up any important plan files before installing any new release.

The download link is at the bottom of the page.

Backward/forward compatibility

3.1.3 can read plan (.tp) files saved by any earlier version of PerfectTablePlan.

Reading 3.1.3 plans into versions of the software before 3.1.0 may lose some data.

System requirements

PerfectTablePlan runs on Windows 2000 or later and MacOSX 10.3.9 or later. It has been successfully tested on the new Windows Vista and MacOSX 10.5 operating systems. More detailed system requirements are here.

Bug fixes

The following bug fixes have been made since version 3.1.1:

Windows and Macintosh

1. The font of the Guest chart pane Title and Footer was incorrectly set to the font of the Table chart pane. It is now correctly set to the font of the Guest chart pane. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

2. The name of a table will only be rotated if it is too long to fit in the standard orientation. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

table_orientation

3. Guests at the top and bottom of rectangular/banquet/custom tables now have their names oriented the same way in name only (radial) mode. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

name_orientation

4. Selected items were shown highlighted when exported from the Floor plan or Table plan panes. This is now fixed. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

5. Right clicking on a guest in the Guests pane, changing their RSVP status and then left clicking on another guest caused the RSVP status of the second guest to also be changed. This is now fixed. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

6. If a Guest chart or Table chart header or footer was added then set to empty, a blank line was left for the empty header/footer. This is now fixed. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

7. Exporting non-ASCII characters is now handled better by the Guest chart and Table chart panes. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

8. “\r\n” type carriage returns are now replaced with spaces when data is exported. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

9. Specifying 0 size pages or items for stationery could cause problems. This is now not permitted. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

10. In certain rare cases the program could crash when editing the Proximity pane with Show set to by group+. This is now fixed. [Fixed in v3.1.3]

Macintosh only

1. A bug in third party libraries meant that the printer details were sometimes lost after printing. This caused a “No printer detected” error if you tried to print a second time without restarting. We have now worked around this problem. Note that the printer name may still be shown as “Unknown” for second and subsequent printouts. This shouldn’t affect printing. [Fixed in 3.1.2]

2. PerfectTablePlan can now correctly import and export vCards files containing non-ASCII characters. [Fixed in 3.1.3]

Known issues

The following are known issues in version 3.1.3:

Macintosh only

1. In MacOSX 10.5 it is no longer possible to drag contacts directly from the Apple Address Book application to PerfectTablePlan. Instead you have to drag the contacts from Apple Address Book to the desktop and then from the desktop to PerfectTablePlan. This appears to be a bug in an underlying third party library. We hope it will be fixed soon.
